Let's go to the beginning. The legendary Mark Avey lives in a garage with just one man. An initial project, funded by self-funding, would soon become a much larger project.
Bad Monday was born when Alice (Mark's wife) was pregnant with their second child and cash was tight. Keeping up with orders was a task that took up weekends and evenings, and it became clear that this was not just a garage project. Job losses, babies, and warehouses piled up, and Bad Monday quickly became a full-blown lifestyle brand powered by culture.
Bad Monday brand's roots have always been attached to tattoo culture, and this will never change.
Mark had a vision for Bad Monday: to create clothing with personality and to challenge the misconception that tattoo culture is dark and dingy. Mark wanted to enable people to express themselves without being constrained by conventional practices.
In the same way, tattoos are not just ink on skin, they are living art that expresses people's personality. As we put it, there's no point in living your life too seriously at Bad Monday and what began as just graphic tees has quickly expanded to the full range of merchandise we have now, and we're just getting started. The inspiring artists we've worked with around the world inspire us to create a platform that celebrates the arts and creates an antidote to high street fashion.
You can trust the Crying Heart logo to be authentic because quality never goes out of style. It has become a permanent tattoo for some of there customers.
Bad Monday and everything it represents - escape from the mundane - is at the (crying) core of what we do. Your contribution is essential to what we do. Enjoy life, and when things don't go well, remember to laugh now, cry later.
